The process for building a new home is as easy as 1-2-3. After the Agreement of Purchase and Sale has been completed and your mortgage details have been worked out, you will begin to design the home to meet with your needs. An appointment with our Design Consultant will be arranged where you can choose the options and upgrades you wish to personalize your home with. From there, your plans will be produced by our Production Department and our Sales and Production Coordinator will meet with you to review them. Your plans will then go out to site to begin building your beautiful new home. During construction you will be contacted for a meeting on site to review your home's framing and electrical processes just before the drywall is installed. This will give you the peace of mind to know that your home is being built with the quality of construction Parkview Homes has built their reputation on. Prior to closing, you will be guided through a new home orientation to ensure the home is built exactly as expected before the keys are proudly handed over to you. Parkview Homes’ staff will be available to answer any questions you may have throughout the process, to walk you through the steps of building your dream home!
Yes, Parkview Homes allows their homebuyers to change and alter their floorplans. Minor revisions/alterations to the floorplans can generally be accommodated, for example to increase or decrease a room size or add structural elements such as higher ceilings. Please note that minor revisions/alterations can only be made up to the time of colour selections without incurring an administration fee. Extensive changes will require a fee to cover the administrative costs.
Yes, all of our new homes will have a Tarion Statutory One Year Warranty coverage period, which begins on the date you take possession of the home. We provide this warranty as the builder. It requires that the home be constructed in a workmanlike manner and free from defects in material in accordance with the Ontario Building Code.
The two-year warranty will cover water penetration through the basement or foundation walls, defects in windows, doors, electrical, plumbing and heating, delivery and distribution system and exterior cladding.
Your new home's seven-year warranty covers major structural defects in the home.
